Crazy Makers

Toxic people will do and say all sorts of ridiculous things to us, but all of a sudden we find that we’re defending ourselves from accusations we’ve never dreamed of, and mad at ourselves for ever allowing ourselves to engage. Yet, once we’re in, we’re in and caught up in trying to prove them wrong, and to get them to see the errors in their ways. This is exactly where the calculated self-destruction begins. Now that they have us engaged they can sit back and enjoy the show. They provoke our irritation and anger, and then calmly use it to prove their own point, which is that we are the one’s who are selfish and unreasonable. The minute we feel ourselves engaging is exactly when we need to let them be right. By so easily giving them what they want, is the exact opposite of what they want. They want the battle, they want to see us try and prove them wrong so they can take our struggle for the truth and make us look crazy. Think.
