Life Is All About Risk

March 19th, 2018

We always risk the most for who and what we love. Whenever we take these risks we stand the chance of life going either way, but no matter which way life goes, we learn. When life turns to pain and we’re in the middle of feeling beaten down, confused and terrified we often make the judgement that we’re losing because the emotions we feel are so powerful we can’t figure out a way to harness them. Toxic people bring us to the depths our pain because they are heartless. There is no betrayal or manipulation that is below them, and because of their ability to act in this way, makes them very scary people. The gift of the pain they cause is we learn with a sense of clarity about what is right and what is horribly wrong about our relationships from them. It is a scary thought to stay connected to toxic relationships and it is often equally as frightening to leave because they are so unpredictable. Before we cut ties, it is best to make ourselves strong enough to take that risk. We must do all we can to analyze our situation, and to stop doing anything further to mend fences with these types of people after they have hurt us. If we want their abuse to stop, we have to stop entertaining it. Disconnecting from them is pain worth going through. We learn so much about ourselves, about the strength we have to move on, and to gather our thought process back under own own ownership. Any risk taken in benefit of loving ourselves will be rewarded.
