Monday Mindset: Silence

April 16th, 2018

If you really want to get your message across to a toxic person, stop giving them attention. At some point these types of people will give you nothing nice to say to them or about them. They are foolish to think that at some point we won’t tire of their manipulative antics. The place where we get our power back is silence. We need to stop doing any more to search understanding or to mend fences. With toxic people, fences can never be authentically repaired. We repair the wounds they’ve created by going quiet. If we have nothing nice to say, it’s best to say nothing at all. They will hoover and provoke in every way they can to see if they can get us to react. Find the self-love and self-respect to not engage no matter how nice they may be or no matter how cruel they may be acting. Just be quiet. It will save you so much heartache and time.
