Monday Mindset: Let Go
April 30th, 2018
It’s a far greater act of courage to let go than it is to hang on. As much as we want to hang on for validation, vindication or for things to get better, we usually have enough evidence to know that letting go is our best bet. We cannot live healthy lives if we refuse to take care of our heart, and make sure that we are in love or in relationships with people who are capable of more than just taking. The best kind of love is when two givers get together and do all they can to contribute to their relationship and the integrity of their relationship each and every day. None of us are perfect, but the maddening game of manipulation only comes from toxic people. If you want to be happy, you have to let them go. It’s as simple as that. Once you let go, you have to heal, to detox from how addictive their games are, and remind yourself in each step forward that you’re doing the most loving thing you can do for yourself. You cannot get to what is better if you don’t let go of what is wrong for you.
