Monday Mindset: Boundaries

May 21st, 2018

Know your boundaries. If there one piece of information to live your life from, it is to know your boundaries. No one can know or often correctly assume what your boundaries are. The easiest way to tell where our boundaries are or where they need to be is when we feel uncomfortable inside when we’ve been pushed too far. Once we feel those feelings of discomfort we must listen, we must speak up, we must let others know when we’re uncomfortable or hurt so they can be mindful of who we are and where they need to step more gently. If people discover where your boundaries are and they still step on them, you have a person who will not treat you with respect. Never stay with a person who will not treat you with respect. Once you start, you will begin to lose self-respect. Once you lose self-respect you start tolerating the intolerable and you lose yourself in the process to the confusion of when and where you’re allowed to make yourself important. You are always important, in each and every situation. Have the courage to stand for yourself.
