“No-Thing”

May 25th, 2018

The most important thing we do in this life is stand for the integrity of who we are. There will be plenty of people in this world who will want to manipulate and bring us down. These people aren’t special. They are a dime-a-dozen. It takes no effort to be selfish, judgemental and bullish. All this takes is immaturity and insecurity. Instead of being frustrated that there are so many of these types of people lingering around, let them inspire to you to be more of who you are. Let them inspire you to stand even more bravely in your own skin. If they have got their attention focused on you, focused on bringing you down, you must have a lot of power. What is that power? Your willingness to be yourself, to not follow the crown, to not be a follower of any one things but a lover of many. It takes great courage to accept differences in others. It takes nothing to judge differences. Since is take “nothing” to be a mean and spiteful person, it seems logical we give them a title in our lives as “No-Thing.” They have nothing of value to offer, it takes nothing for them to be mean, so let them them be a No-Thing (not a thing) in your life. If you have to be around them because of family circumstances; keep them at an arms length, hold your head high and give no response to their passive-aggressive attacks. Pretend you didn’t hear it. This takes away their power.
