Monday Mindset: Take Care of You
May 29th, 2018
There is nothing selfish about taking care of you. If you don’t care enough about yourself, you will never attract a person or people who will take good care of you either. Self-love means that you come first and everyone else gets in line. You must commit to what you need to make yourself feel happy and whole and full enough from within to be able to give out to others. Giving doesn’t feel good, if you’re giving to be given back to, if you’re giving to secure a relationship, or if you’re giving to please. This type of giving will drain you dry. Give to yourself, nurture yourself, and fulfill yourself; this gives you a plethora of love and nurturing to give to others. If anyone tells you that doing this for yourself is selfish, you are dealing with an unhealthy person. There is never enough you can give to a toxic person that could ever satisfy them. They thrive on emotional robbery and cut off any supply you have to creating your own happiness. Your only job is to take care of you. Other healthy people will encourage you to do this because other healthy people want you to be happy, not just for you to make them happy.
