Where To Put Your Focus

July 6th, 2018

We can focus all we want on how awful the toxic people in our lives have been. We can focus on being obsessed with what they’re doing now, and get hurt every time we see that they’re moving on without us, or … we can change our focus. We can change our focus to our own evolution, to our own healing, to telling ourselves the truth about who they were, are, and will always be. We can focus on being happy that we are no longer subjecting ourselves to their abuse and manipulation, and we can focus on loving ourselves better. We can choose not to entertain any form of connection or wonder about them. This is often easier said than done, and it is more of a process than event, but it should be the center of what you focus on as you heal. If we focus or obsess over them we allow them to steal more and more of our life. We get to choose what we focus on, so we may as well focus on our own evolution.
